WE BELIEVE IN CHANGE

Shaun and Maria Sheahan have been in ministry for over thirty five years. They have worked in church ministry, building and running Christian camps, planting churches, training and teaching but there have always been a couple common threads that have run through their lifestyle of ministry. They have always mentored leaders, coaching them to discover God’s vision for their life. And while caring for leaders, they’ve also had a focus on the poor—striving to break the cycle of poverty.

The Sheahans essentially work out of a core of who God has made them to be. Descriptions have been:

  • Shepherds

  • Disciplers

  • Connectors

  • Encouragers

  • Pastors Heart

The diverse combination of a US American married to a Mexican has opened many doors and with spiritual formation as their essence, people have experienced transformation.

They live in a Latino neighborhood in San Diego near the border of Tijuana, Mexico—a border they cross with great frequency.

Shaun’s pastoral heart is drawn to the marginalized as well as to developing leaders. He’s been a vocational minister since 1983. While some of that time he served in the local church, most of that time was spent pioneering several works in and around Mexico. He lives close to the Mexican border in San Diego in a faith community, developing leaders and engaging in cross-cultural work on both sides of the border.
Shaun is ordained, a certified life coach, a director of a non-profit and more importantly, super happy to be married to Maria, and to have 3 amazing young adult kids.

Maria was born and raised in Mexico. She has worked in several parts of Mexico mentoring leaders, leading youth, and planting a church since 1983. She now lives in San Diego where she develops leaders and works with the marginalized on both sides of the border.
As the member of a sweet faith community in a largely Hispanic neighborhood, she gets to practice loving her neighbors as herself. Maria is ordained, a certified life coach, and a certified language interpreter. Shaun thinks you should know that she’s also a great cook, amazing mom to 3 great kids and a fantastic wife.
